November 2011 — FirmGreen Project Update: construction on the Gás Verde biogas purification facility is well underway. The site is prepared, FirmGreen's biogas cleaning technology has been delivered and is ready for installation. Construction of the pipeline that will carry cleaned biogas to the customer — a nearby Petrobras facility — has begun.

June 2011 — FirmGreen Creates Jobs for U.S.A. and Brazilian Workers: FirmGreen, Inc. (FirmGreen®), a California-based alternative energy company, announced the first shipment of its patented biogas cleaning equipment this week, with more to follow. Bound for Rio de Janeiro, the export of FirmGreen’s USA-made goods to Brazil is creating hundreds of skilled green collar jobs for manufacturers and workers, here in American and in Brazil.

FirmGreen project in Brazil to help create new skilled jobs at Novo Gramacho, the landfill depicted in the internationally acclaimed documentary and 2011 Academy Awards® nominee, Waste Land. The project will also improve local air quality on a long-term basis, as the landfill's "dirty gas," a natural by-product of trash decomposing, is turned into clean usable gas using FirmGreen technology. The resulting “biogas” is an environmental-friendly, highly useful fuel with the energy-equivalent of natural gas.

FirmGreen signs deal to export green technology to Gás Verde AS of Brazil. The project is expected to produce up to 135 new green jobs in Ohio and other states. FirmGreen’s equipment will be fabricated at the Ohio factory of Guild Associates, Inc. , to be installed at the Novo Gramacho Landfill near Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In addition to creating skilled jobs for Americans, use of the green energy technology will displace the use of non-renewable natural gas and will reduce annual carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions at the Brazilian landfill by an amount equivalent to taking almost 275,000 vehicles off the road.
