FirmGreen® Selects Pinnacle to Construct CNG Fueling Station
NEWPORT BEACH, CA, JUne 1, 2007 — FirmGreen, Inc. (FGI) has selected
Pinnacle CNG Systems, LLC for the construction and operation of a new
24-hour public access compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling station at
3851 London-Groveport Road in Grove City, Ohio. The station is a part
of FGI’s $100 million Green Energy Centre in development adjacent
the Franklin County Sanitary Landfill.
The CNG is sourced from renewable methane (natural gas) derived from processed landfill biogas. FirmGreen's patented and proprietary CO2 Wash® technology is being used to clean the landfill gas to pipeline quality prior to compression for use at the fueling station.
The Green Energy Center CNG Refueling Station will accept Visa and MasterCard. This new station will use Pinnacle’s patented Hydraulic Intensifier Compressor (HIC) system to deliver CNG fuel at a rate exceeding normal gasoline fueling rates. As a result, SWACO and public CNG users will experience rapid fueling rates, similar to or better than a conventional gasoline or diesel fueling system.
The fueling station includes two 40 horsepower hydraulic intensifier compressors and one fast-fill dispenser for refuse haulers, buses, private fleets and other customers. FGI, the Solid Waste Authority of Central Ohio (SWACO), and the Department of Energy have teamed to build the CNG fueling facility in support of the nation’s effort to improve air quality in Central Ohio, reduce dependency on imported petroleum, and reduce fuel costs for the citizens of Ohio. The station is scheduled to open in September, 2007.
